What is Google Cardboard?

Google Cardboard is a new invention that scientists created by using plain cardboard. Google Cardboard lets you go to different places while you stay in one place! This is a plan that is ‘Virtual Reality’. Google Cardboard has shocked many people around the globe. I, myself is amazed by how this new technology allows us to experience different cultures.

How does it work?

Google Cardboard has to be constructed by you when you buy it. Once it is built, place your Iphone inside a slide and that will be your screen. Look through the lenses and then go to menu. There are a variety of options you can choose. For example: Tour Guide, Earth, Youtube and more. To move the screen, move your head up, down, left and right. It will look as if you are in the photo. You can explore places you have never been in!

What is it made of?

Google Cardboard is mainly made of Cardboard. Though, the lenses are glass and there is also some metal pieces. For example: there is a button on the left side that you pull it up and down to run through the menu and other things. The button is made out of metal and is shaped as a little circle.

The lenses and everything else comes with Google Cardboard in one package. All except the Iphone. You need to buy the Iphone.

How much is Google Cardboard?

A Google Cardboard dodocase costs about $20. Androidcentral.com states ‘You can use your existing Iphone and build a viewer with $4.00 worth of parts and a pizza box.’

The Google Cardboard needs an Iphone so if you do not have one, you may want to buy one. An Iphone costs about $90 US dollars. You also need to download or buy the app.
